Visual Stimuli

A picture or image provokes an immediate emotional reaction which can be recorded as a distinct electrical impulse in the viewer’s brain. Although it takes more time to listen and have an accurate appreciation of a piece of music, I believe that an initial sound universe has an almost instantaneous effect upon a listener, encouraging him/her to feel and even behave in a certain way. The works on this album were inspired by this intriguing and powerful phenomenon. The advantage that music has, unlike a photo or image, is that an initial emotional atmosphere has the possibility to continue to develop or intensify.
